Don't re-invent the wheel.

Unless you're a serial entrepreneur like Branson or Dyson, we always give our clients the same advice; Don't re-invent the wheel.

Find out what works from the people who are successful and just do the same thing.

A prime example of that would be a franchise like McDonalds or Virgin Vie. People invest their money into the brand and just do it exactly the way they are told to do it. That's not to say, these people don't have an entrepreneual spirit, but they're working smarther not harder.

They don't have to design company logos, work out the design and colour schemes of their business premises, don't have to worry about their marketing etc. They just have to make sure they have trained staff, and the business opens on time.

Now what if you don't have a franchise?

Then you have to learn from others who are successful. You can do this in any number of ways, but we would advocate joining a local business club, or becoming a member of an on-line business club. We can recommend

Don't re-invent the wheel.

Unless you're a serial entrepreneur like Branson or Dyson, our advice to new clients is "Don't re-invent the wheel"

In effect this means unless you know different, do what everyone else in your line of business does, but a slight personal spin on it.

Take for example buying into a franchise like McDonalds or Virgin Vie. When you buy into a franchise you're buying into a proven business model that has been tried and tested over a number of years. You don't have to worry about building an image, decor of your premises, staff uniform, pay or conditions. You just do what you told to do and it's successful.

If you bought a franchise and tried any major changes, you'd probably have the franchise removed.

So what if you don't want a franchise?

The same thing applies. Don't re-invent the wheel. Find out what works and do the same thing. Join a local business club or association like the National Association of Business Owners and attend one of their seminars. They are offering 100 free places at the moment to qualifying businesses or join an on-line business club like Raw Business. Odd name but visit their site at Raw Business to find out more.

Who's most interested in your business?

We think the only answer can be you!

Look at it this way. Although you may have borrowed money from a bank, of course they'll be interested in your business, but they'll also be interested in the hundreds( or thousands )of other businesses they'll have lent money to. They won't be waking up in the morning thinking of you. But you will.

You may have borrowed money from friends or relatives, but they won't be thinking about you all the time. They trust you with their money, or they wouldn't have lent it in the first place.

No, we believe the only person who has the best interest of your business at heart is you and that is what we aim for at newstart4u marketing.

We'll always aim to help you promote your own business yourself.

Whether it's off-line, or online, we'll try and give you the best and up-to-date information from a variety of resources.

But of course, you'll also want to know who we are.

Have a look at our website at www.newstart4u.info

We've been involved at giving out marketing information for some years now as an off-shoot off the site when people have called us for advice. All we're doing now is putting it on a more 'formal' basis.

Hope you enjoy reading this blog and the information and advice we give out.
